Tersan Shipyard Delivered NB1116 “Leinebris”
Tersan Shipyard has successfully delivered the high‑technology and sustainability‑oriented fishing vessel NB1116 “Leinebris” to the Norwegian company Leinebris AS.

Designed by Skipsteknisk, the new Leinebris stands out as a significant innovation in maritime technology and environmentally friendly solutions. Following the success of the first Leinebris delivered in 2015, this new vessel raises the bar further with sustainability and versatile fishing methods.
Innovative Features
Leinebris is the first vessel to combine longline fishing, trawling, and purse seining. Thanks to this versatility, the crew can choose the most efficient and eco‑friendly method, minimizing the carbon footprint. In addition, Leinebris sets a new standard in the industry as the longest longliner ever built.
- Dimensions: 67.3 meters in length, 15 meters in width
- Propulsion System: Diesel‑electric hybrid system
- Equipment: PUAU115 type azimuth and AR63 type retractable azimuth combi propellers
- Control Systems: BruCon PTC, BruCon JS, Brunvoll Fishpilot
Energy Efficiency and Eco‑Friendly Solutions
The vessel is equipped with a large battery pack and three diesel‑electric generator sets. Fully electric deck equipment and winches ensure the most efficient use of the energy produced onboard. Thanks to chilled seawater tanks, fish are transported alive, resulting in fresh production and superior catch quality.
Comfort and Safety
Leinebris features double cargo decks, enclosed working areas, and a moonpool for safe operations even in harsh weather conditions. Modern and spacious accommodation for up to 25 people provides the crew with high standards and excellent living spaces.
